Kia continues testing the 2026 Seltos, with fresh spy shots revealing more details about its updated design. The latest images provide a closer look at the headlamp and DRL setup, hinting at a more aggressive front fascia. The SUV is expected to receive a hybrid powertrain, alongside the existing 1.5L petrol and diesel engines.

Design updates

The new-gen Seltos will feature a redesigned grille, inspired by Kia’s flagship Telluride SUV. The tri-LED projector headlamps are housed within a rectangular cluster, integrating multiple DRLs of varying sizes. The rear taillights will adopt an L-shaped LED design, similar to the EV9 electric SUV.

The front bumper will incorporate six parking sensors, while the lower grille will house a front radar module for ADAS. The rear number plate recess will move to the bumper, unlike its current placement on the tailgate.

Powertrain and features

The 2026 Kia Seltos facelift will be offered with three powertrain options: a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 115 bhp and 144 Nm of torque, a 1.5L turbo-petrol engine delivering 158 bhp and 253 Nm of torque, and a 1.5L turbo-diesel unit generating 116 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. The turbo-petrol variant is the most powerful, enabling 0-100 km/h in 8.9 seconds. There are also talks of an hybrid powertrain that has been in the works.

The interior will receive a modernized layout, featuring a larger infotainment screen, ventilated seats, and a digital instrument cluster.

Market Position and rivals

The 2026 Kia Seltos will continue to rival the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Tata Curvv, and Volkswagen Tiguan. With its hybrid option, Kia aims to strengthen its position in the compact SUV segment.
