Kia has launched two new variants of the popular Seltos SUV. These new trims are equipped with ADAS features. The Seltos GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S) are priced from INR 19.40 lakh, ex-showroom.
What’s new in the Kia Seltos GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S)?
For starters, both of these aforementioned models get 18-inch crystal-cut glossy Black alloys and an electric parking brake with auto hold and a black roof lining on the inside. These will be available for an extra cost of INR 20,000.
However, these variants miss out on some of the features like the Bose Audio system along with the 360-degree camera offered on the higher GTX+ and the X-Line trims. Kia is instead offering a six-speaker sound system and a reverse camera.
The main aim of launching these variants is to reduce the waiting period from the current 15-16 weeks to 7-9 weeks. These new GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S) variants are placed between the HTX+, GTX+ and X-Line variants.
The ADAS suite comes with 17 autonomous features. These include the likes of forward collision avoidance (FCA), lane keep assist and smart cruise control with Stop & Go. Other standard safety features include 6 airbags, Hill-Start Assist Control, ESC and VSM to name a few.
The 2023 Seltos is offered in Tech Line, GT Line and X Line variants, and the Level 2 ADAS features are offered with the GT Line and X Line variants.
Powertrain options on the Kia Seltos GTX+ (S) and X-Line (S)
Kia is offering a choice of petrol or diesel engine on these models. The petrol engine consists of a 1.5-litre turbo petrol unit that is good for 160 HP and 253 Nm. It is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
Meanwhile, the 1.5-litre diesel engine develops 115 HP / 250 Nm and customers will get a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
