Kia India has released the monthly sales report for the month of November 2022. The car maker sold 24,025 units, its third best performance so far since commencing operations in India.
Figures for the month of November 2022
Kia witnessed a Y-o-Y growth of 69 percent. The star performer for the brand was Seltos with a figure of 9,284 units. The Sonet came in the second spot with 7,834 units followed by Carens with 6,360 units. The Carnival sold 419 units while 128 units of the EV6 were delivered.
Notably, this takes the tally of EV6 deliveries in India to 296. This is far higher than the carmaker’s estimate.
Kia’s 6 lakh unit milestone
Following the month of November, Kia India has crossed one more important milestone. Over 6 lakh units of Kia cars have been sold in India in just over 3 years. Understanding the model wise contribution, we can see that Seltos and Sonet contributed 88% to the figure while Carens had a 10% share in just 10 months since its launch back in February 2022.
Sales so far in the calendar year
Thanks to improved market conditions and pent-up demands of the consumer, Kia has already sold 2,39,373 units in India in just 11 months. In the same period last year, Kia India has sold 1,81,583 cars.
The Anantapur Plant has recently commenced third shift as well improving the production capacity of the Korean carmaker in India. This will also delight the customers by reducing the waiting times.
Kia CPO
Kia has also recently launched a new business vertical. The Kia CPO is a pre-owned car business for the benefit of its customers. Kia CPO stands for Kia Certified Pre-Owned Car Business. The company has planned exclusive outlets, hoping to provide a new-age experience to customers that is at par with the new car buying experience.
By this initiative, the company will widen its customer base and offer new services to its customers.
