Kia India launches Sonet X-Line at INR 13,39,000

One of India’s fastest-growing carmakers, Kia India, has announced the launch of the new range-topping X-Line trim of its compact SUV, the Kia Sonet. The Sonet X-Line is the second X-Line model after the Seltos X-Line in Kia’s Indian lineup. Similar to the Seltos X-Line, it gets a host of exclusive exterior and interior enhancements. Thus, improving the premium quotient of one of the highest-selling compact SUVs.

Kia Sonet X-Line – Variants & Pricing

The new X-Line variant of the Sonet sits atop the current top variant, GTX+. Kia India will offer the X-Line variant only with the 1.0-litre T-GDi petrol with 7-speed Dual-clutch transmission and the 1.5-litre CRDi diesel with the 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Thus, there will be no manual or iMT variant available with the Sonet X-Line.

Prices start at INR 13.39 lakh ex-showroom for the Sonet X-Line with the 1.0-litre T-GDi with 7-speed DCT. Meanwhile, the Sonet X-Line with the 1.5-litre CRDi diesel with 6-speed AT will retail for INR 13.99 lakh ex-showroom.

Kia Sonet X-Line – Exterior Highlights

The X-Line gets a host of changes and exclusive elements over the Sonet GT Line, which enhances the overall look of the compact SUV. The Sonet X-Line will come only in the Xclusive Matte Graphite exterior colour option, which is a segment-first. At the front, the Kia signature tiger nose grille now gets a new Black High Gloss finish. Additionally, the front also gets an Xclusive Turbo Shaped Masculine piano black front skid plates with Dark Hyper Metal accents and an Xclusive Dark chrome fog lamp garnish. The ORVMs with integrated LED turn signals also get an Xclusive Piano Black finish.

Moving to the side, the Sonet X-Line gets segment-first 16-inch Xclusive Crystal Cut alloy wheels with Black High Gloss. Also, unlike the GT Line’s red brake callipers, the X-Line gets silver brake callipers. The side door also gets a Dark Hyper Metal garnish. There are also X-Line emblems across the compact SUV. Similar to the front, the rear also gets an Xclusive Piano Black rear skid plate with Dark Hyper Metal accents. The Xclusive Piano Black theme also extends to the Dual Muffler design. On the other hand, the shark-fin antenna comes in an exterior colour matching Matte Graphite colour.

Kia Sonet X-Line – Interior Highlights

The Kia Sonet X-Line gets an Xclusive Splendid Sage Dual-Tone interior which the brand claims are segment-first. The leatherette sports seats come with contrasting orange stitching as well as an X-Line logo. Kia India has extended this same treatment to the D-cut steering wheel as well. Another exclusive feature is the Sonet X-Line’s Xclusive Premium Black headliner.
