Kia EV6 AWD range rated at 708 km by ARAI

The Kia EV6 has officially been tested under the ARAI test cycle. Thus the EV now comes with a travel range of 708km. Meanwhile, its WLTP-certified driving range stands at 528km. Noteworthy to mention that the ARAI-tested 708 km range figure is only applicable to the EV6 GT Line RWD variant.

Kia EV6 Delivery Schedule

Previously, the South Korean automaker had planned only 100 CBU units of the EV6 for the Indian market. But, it received 356 reservations until its launch day itself. Thus, the brand has now increased the total allocation of EV6 units. As of now, Kia has managed to deliver over 200 units of the EV so far. Kia has plans to complete most of the pending deliveries by the end of 2022.

Kia EV6 Key Highlights

The EV6 comes equipped with a host of modern features. This includes adaptive LED headlights, LED taillights with a full-length light bar, and vehicle-to-load. The EV6 also benefits from Kia Connect with over 60 features. Other key features include an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, eight airbags, dual-zone temperature control, 10-way power-adjustable front seats with driver seat memory function, and ventilated front seats. The driver can toggle through three driving modes. These are namely, normal, eco, and sport.

Kia EV6 Battery And Charging

The EV6’s GT Line RWD and GT Line AWD variants use a 77.4kWh battery pack. The single-motor setup makes 229 PS and 350 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the power output of the dual-motor variant reads as 325 PS and 605 Nm of torque. With the support of 800-volt charging architecture, the EV6 charges from 10 to 80 per cent in just 18 minutes. This is with the use of an ultrafast 350kW charger. The 150kW chargers installed at the Kia dealerships can charge the EV6 from 10 to 80 per cent in 40 minutes. On the other hand, a 50kW charger takes 73 minutes.
