Keeway K300 SF – what is new?

Hungarian two-wheeler manufacturer Keeway has found it hard to sell its mid-size naked sports bike K300N in India. Now, the second attempt has been made via the launch of the K300 SF. It is a refined version of the outgoing bike with a re-tuned engine and new graphics.

Available in three colour options – black, red, and white; the new K300 SF continues offering the aggressive riding stance of a streetfighter sports bike. Additionally, the new model gets improved fit and finish and quality levels overall. The highlight of it is the pricing which has dropped by a staggering Rs 60,000 than the outgoing model. However, this pricing is only for the first 100 customers.

Along with the new decals, Keeway has also improved the engine tuning for better performance, more linear power delivery, and refinement. The rest of the motorcycle remains more or less unchanged from the previous model. It uses a 292.4cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that generates a peak power of 27.1 bhp and 25 Nm of peak torque.

Other noticeable features of the K300 SF include a slipper-assist clutch, USD front shocks, adjustable rear monoshock, 17-inch alloy wheels, riding modes, dual-channel ABS, and more. It competes with the KTM 390 Duke and Honda CB300R in India.

Our verdict

Keeway retails its products in India through Adishwar Auto Ride Ltd. However, despite the ground support, Indian consumers have not found the Keeway bikes very interesting. With the new K300 SF, Keeway aims to change its image and the sales chart figures in India.
