2025 Honda CB1000F – What is it?
Revealed recently at the Osaka Motorcycle Show in Japan, the upcoming CB1000F naked sportsbike was showcased as a concept model. However, the upcoming Honda bike looks almost production-ready, and it is scheduled to hit the global market later this year.
Back in 2020, Honda showcased a similar CB-F concept bike, which was also destined to hit production. However, it was based on the CB1000R platform, which made it financially unviable to produce due to the higher building costs.
Therefore, to resolve it, and introduce a new naked sportsbike to compete with the rivals like the Kawasaki Z900RS and the Suzuki Katana, the CB1000 Hornet platform has been used for the CB1000F bike.
Suspended on a steel twin spar frame and dual aluminium swingarm, Honda has managed to bring down the production costs involved for the upcoming CB1000F.
Moreover, to reduce the costs further, Honda has used the 2017 CBR1000RR Fireblade motor. This 1000cc inline-four engine makes 147 bhp of peak power and seems to be well-suited for the bike.
The launch price for the European market is £8,999 for the standard model and £9,999 for the SP version. This equates to a rough estimate of Rs 10-11 lakh. The official debut of the CB1000F is scheduled for later this year.

Our verdict
Honda’s absence in the neo-retro premium motorcycle segment has been noticed for a long time in the international market. However, this is soon going to change with the launch of the CB100F. However, we are still unsure whether Honda will bring it to India or not. As of now, there are no such plans.
