Kawasaki India has made changes to the pricing of several models for the Indian market. Thus the company’s middleweight motorcycles, the Ninja 650 and the Vulcan S, have now become more costly. Not just these two, Kawasaki has also hiked the prices of its most affordable offering, i.e. Ninja 300. Moreover, the Z900 and Z H2 series have also gotten more expensive. We understand Kawasaki has taken this step to encounter the rising cost of commodities. Not just Kawasaki, a host of other automakers have recently announced price hikes across their range of products.
Price Hike Details
Ninja 650, the fully-faired motorcycle from Kawasaki, is now INR 7,000 more expensive. Meanwhile, Vulcan S, the cruiser, has got a price hike of INR 6,000 over the previous ex-showroom price tags. With this price hike in effect, the Kawasaki Ninja 650 will retail at an ex-showroom price of INR 6.95 lakh. And the Vulcan S is available at INR 6.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
More Price, Same Performance & Features
This price hike does not bring any cosmetic or mechanical changes to the motorcycles. Thus, both the Ninja 650 and the Vulcan S will use the 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. However, the motor gets a different state of tune for both motorcycles. The result is that it makes 67.3bhp and 64Nm on the Ninja 650. On the contrary, the Vulcan S produces 60bhp and 62.4Nm.
Colour options
The colour options for the Ninja 650 includes Lime Green and Pearl Robotic White. Meanwhile, the Vulcan S is available in a single colour option which is Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray.
Kawasaki Upcoming Motorcycles
At the Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance race, the Japanese motorcycle unveiled its upcoming products. Interestingly prototypes of both all-electric and hybrid motorcycles were seen in the race. Hence, we can assume that the EV and hybrid powertrain work is in full swing for Kawasaki.
