Kawasaki has set up a service centre for their superbikes in Navi Mumbai. This service centre is located at Shreeji heights, Sector 46A, palm beach road, Nerul, Navi Mumbai. Since the high end superbikes sold by Kawasaki cannot be serviced at the Bajaj & KTM service centres, the Japanese two-wheeler major is slowly setting up facilities to serve their customers better.
In the last two years, Kawasaki has expanded its product portfolio to a total number of seven sportsbikes. These include the Ninja 300, Ninja 650, Ninja 1000, Ninja ZX-10R, Ninja ZX-14R, Z1000 and Z800. Out of these, only the locally assembled Ninja 300 and Ninja 650 are serviced at the Bajaj KTM service centres, while the rest, need Kawasaki’s trained technicians to service them.
The new facility in Navi Mumbai is the only one in the city, while the other locations include Pune, Delhi and a Chennai facility which is under construction.
Another major reason for Kawasaki to take things seriously might be the momentum of its British rival, Triumph. Triumph is only about a year old in the market but has far better reach in terms of showrooms and service centres. To pull in more volumes, Kawasaki will have to work on increasing their presence all around the country.
