Kawasaki reveals MY23 Z900 RS Cafe Racer motorcycle

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Kawasaki has officially unveiled the 2023 Z900 RS Cafe for the Japanese market. Fingers crossed, but chances are high that we could have this motorcycle in India in limited numbers by 2023.

What Changes Do We Get?

Now, the Z900 RS Cafe receives a new paint shade for the new model year, thus giving it a fresh look. Identical to the previous iteration, the motorcycle wears the Metallic Diablo Black. But, the 2023 Z900RS Cafe now gets two golden pinstripes. These are visible on the bubble fairing, fuel tank and rear fairing. Even the Kawasaki logo is done in gold, thus adding a retro-esque edge to the Z900RS Café. Having said that, the blacked-out rims also come with golden pinstripes that resonate with the overall outlook.

But mechanically, the Japanese manufacturer has kept the Z900 RS Cafe exactly the same as before. Thus, the motorcycle will continue with the same 948cc, inline-four cylinder engine. The performance output of this motor reads as 109bhp at 8,500rpm and 98.5Nm at 6,500rpm. The steel trellis frame gets the support of fully-adjustable USD forks up front and a mono-shock at the rear.

In terms of braking, the motorcycle uses a disc setup both for the front and rear. ABS is a standard fitment for the Z900 RS Café. Riders will appreciate the equipped traction control system with two modes and a setting. If anyone is wondering how the Z900 RS Cafe is different from the Z900 RS, it is about cosmetic changes. These include modifications to the front cowl, cafe racer styling seat and a lower handlebar.

Customers looking for other options in this segment have a host of names. This includes BMW’s R nineT, the Triumph Speed Twin and the Thruxton RS. Kawasaki Z900 RS Cafe retails at a starting price of USD 12,399 MSRP for the US market.
