Kawasaki has introduced a new colour option on the Ninja 1000 in India. The new colour is called ‘Metallic Matte Fusion Silver’ and will be added to the two existing colours ‘Black’ and ‘Green’. The new colour will be available as a limited edition and only 60 examples of the new silver colour will be sold in the Indian market. The limited edition colour option does not attract any additional cost and will be sold at the same price as the standard Ninja 1000 at INR 10.29 lakh ex-showroom.

The new colour option is only cosmetic and the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 is still powered by a 1,043cc, Liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, In-line 4-cylinder, DOHC 16-valve motor that develops 142 PS of power and 111 Nm of torque coupled to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox and a slipper assist clutch.

The suspension hardware consists of 41 mm inverted fork with step-less compression and rebound damping and spring preload adjustability and a travel length of 120 mm on the front and a gas-charged, horizontal back-link, with step-less rebound damping and spring preload adjustability with 144 mm of travel on the rear.

The braking duties are performed by dual semi-floating 300 mm petal discs with dual radially mounted monobloc, 4-piston opposed type hydraulically operated calipers on the front and a single 250 mm petal disc with a single-piston hydraulic calliper on the rear.

Top features on the Kawasaki Ninja are Three Modes on the Kawasaki Traction Control System (KTRC), selectable Power Modes independent of the KTRC traction control modes, comfortable ergonomics which blends city riding with sport riding and the upright riding position with a single wide handlebar is best for highway riding, the exhaust comes in a 4-into-2-pre-chamber-into-2 layout with quad finishers which gives the motorcycle and sporty looks, etc.
