Kawasaki has launched the MY22 Versys 1000 for the Indian market. The bookings for the motorcycle have already started. And the company aims to start with the delivery from mid-November. The new Kawasaki Versys 1000 will come with a single Candy Lime Green colour. Kawasaki has put on a sticker price of INR 11.55 (ex-showroom) for the Versys 1000. This MY2022 model remains the same and does not get any mechanical change.

Engine and Powertrain

The motorcycle continues with the same BS6-compliant 1,043cc, inline-four, liquid-cooled engine. The performance output of the engine stands at 118 bhp of power at 9,000rpm and 102 Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm. The engine comes with a 6-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch that helps in fast and aggressive shifts. The chassis comes with 43mm upside-down front forks and a gas-charged rear mono-shock, both being adjustable. In the riding aid department, cruise control, Kawasaki Cornering Management Functions, traction control system, and ABS are on offer.

The adjustable windscreen is also a great feature to have and also adds to the practicality of the motorcycle. One of the key USPs of Versys 1000 is its upright seating position. This provides the rider with a more commanding and spacious riding position. Moreover, for long-distance travel, this seating position also provides adequate comfort.
