Kawasaki KLX 230 and KTM 390 Enduro R both fall in the off-road bike segment. The Kawasaki KLX 230 is considered to be a versatile off-road motorcycle for both beginners and skilled riders. On the other hand,  KTM 390 Enduro R is a high-performance off-road motorcycle dedicated to trail riders and enthusiasts.

Kawasaki KLX 230 comes with a 233cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder, SOHC engine that produces about 9 bhp and 18.6 Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-speed transmission. 

The KTM 390 Enduro R, on the other hand, is one of the most potent bikes in its class thanks to its 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine unit produces 43 bhp of power and 37 Nm of torque. The engine has electronic fuel injection (EFI) for efficient power delivery. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

With a curb weight of about 134 kg (295 lbs) and a lightweight steel frame, the KLX 230 is nimble and manageable, especially for trail riding. It has a 7.7-litre petrol tank that provides enough range for long trail riding. Riders of different heights can use it because of its 875 mm (34.4-inch) seat height, which balances comfort and control.

The KTM 390 Enduro R weighs about 177 kg and is constructed on a lightweight, highly durable steel frame. Longer trail journeys are made possible by the bike’s 12-litre fuel tank.

Kawasaki KLX 230 possess a Uni-Trak rear shock and a 37mm telescopic front fork. Further, it has knobby tyres on the 18-inch rear and 21-inch front wheels. Additionally, the KLX 230 has front and rear disc brakes.

The KTM 390 Enduro R is equipped with long-travel WP XPLOR suspension, featuring a 48mm fork with 9.4 inches (240mm) of travel at the front and a WP XPLOR shock with 9.1 inches (230mm) of rear wheel travel.

The 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels are fitted with high-grip off-road tyres for superior traction. The braking area is managed by front and rear disc brakes, both from Brembo.

The KLX 230 is equipped with LED lighting, a bright headlight, a tail light, along with turn signals. 

The KTM 390 Enduro R has additional features that include a full LED lighting system, a compact digital instrument cluster, advanced traction control and riding modes.
