Kawasaki India adds 2 new colours for Ninja 400

Written by Parichay Malvankar

Kawasaki has introduced 2 new colour options for the overpriced Ninja 400. The bike which was supposed to be a limited in numbers model, now has these 2 new limited edition paint schemes. Kawasaki will now be offering Metallic Spark Black / Lime Green and Lime Green / Ebony KRT livery options. The bike sees no change in price, and asks for INR 4.99 lakh ex-showroom. Both these limited edition colours will have only 10 units each on sale across India.

The first colour is more of a lime green shade with hints of black, red & gold along with the new honeycomb mesh decals on the side panels. There’s lime rim stripes as well. The other paint scheme is a paint scheme blending lime green hints with gloss black and grey livery. With just 10 units each for either of these colours, exclusivity is guaranteed for this already overpriced motorcycle which barely anyone is buying.

The Kawasaki Ninja 400 comes powered by a 399cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor producing 49 PS of power @ 1000 RPM and 38 Nm of torque @ 8000 RPM. This DOHC 8-valve engine is matched to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper assist clutch and the bike also gets a dual-channel ABS setup.

The Ninja 400 has features such as petal disc brakes, LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, negative backlit digital instrument console, split seats, clip-on handlebars, clear front windscreen, etc.
