Jupiter Electric Mobility launches 2 CEVs at Auto Expo 2023

Jupiter Electric Mobility (JEM) has unveiled its range of commercial electric vehicles at the Auto Expo 2023. These include the JEM TEX 2.2 Ton GVW and EV Star CC 7 Ton GVW. JEM is a commercial electric vehicle division of Jupiter Wagons Limited.

These two new vehicles will initially be launched in the metro city regions of Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Pune and Bangalore. It will cater to the last mile delivery segment. JEM plans to first launch itself and establish in these aforementioned cities after which the company would expand to other markets. 

Further, JEM has tied up with GreenPower Motor Company, a North America based organisation with expertise in commercial EVs in passenger and goods mobility sectors. For EV batteries, JEM has collaborated with Log 9 Materials and for vehicle design and development, Xavion Mobility has been roped in. 

Specifications and details of the JEM TEZ

The JEM TEZ uses a rapid chargeable LTO chemistry based battery. The company is claiming a life of 10+ years for the battery and offering an assured buyback of INR 2 lakhs till 6 years. It is also offered with a liquid-cooled LPF battery with 5 years of warranty. The certified range of the vehicle is said to be 180 km on a single charge. The maximum gradeability of the vehicle is 23 percent. 

To help fleet owners monitor their vehicles, the JEM TEZ is also equipped with a telematics system with live tracking and a 7-inch infotainment system as well.  

Specifications and details of the EV STAR CC

The EV STAR CC is a multi-utility electric vehicle. It has a claimed range of up to 250 km on a single charge and a maximum gradeability of 22 percent. The vehicle uses LPF liquid cooled batteries and owners can configure them from two size options. These batteries are designed for 2500 cycles and come equipped with both DC fast charging as well as AC slow charging.
