Joy e-bike launches Gen Next Nanu+ electric scooter at INR 1,06,991

One of India’s emerging EV brands WardWizard Innovations and Mobility Ltd has announced a new e-scooter via its Joy e-bike brand. The company has launched the Gen Next Nanu+ e-scooter across the country, costing INR 1,06,991 (ex-showroom). WardWizard has also launched two other e-scooters alongside the Gen Next Nanu+- the Wolf+ and the Del Go for India. Designed and developed by their R&D team, the e-scooter will focus on promoting localisation and spearheading the ‘Make-in-India’ initiative.

2022 Gen Next Nanu+: Design & Specs Details 

Produced at the company’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Vadodara, Gujarat, the Gen Next Nanu+ features an aggressive yet sharp design language. Aimed towards the youngsters of India, the company will commence bookings for the Gen Next Nanu+ from February 11th, 2022. With a warranty of 3 years, the Gen Next Nanu+ sports 2 colour options – Midnight Black and Matte White, respectively. WarWizard has equipped the e-scooter with a wide seat which offers a height of 730mm and a wheelbase of 1325mm.

The Gen Next Nanu+ measures 1800mm in length, 460mm in width, and 1100mm in height with beak-mounted LED headlamps. Additionally, the e-scooter also gets turn indicators mounted on either side of the cowl and a dual fork hydraulic suspension. Meanwhile, the Gen Next Nanu+ also gets a monoshock rear suspension with a ground clearance of 160mm for off-roading purposes. Overall, the e-scooter also sports a turning radius of 1.6-meters and a Keyless Start/Stop switch for easy convenience.

2022 Gen Next Nanu+: Powertrain & Features Details 

WardWizard has equipped the Gen Next Nanu+ with BLDC motors and a three-speed motor, offering an instant punch of torque. Powering this 1500W motor is an advanced NMC battery that offers high energy density and longer life cycles in India. Therefore, the portable 60V battery pack allows the e-scooter to produce 20 Nm of torque with a 55 kmph top speed. The e-scooter also features 3 riding modes – Eco, Sport, and Hyper along with dual front disc brakes with electronic ABS.

Riders can take out the battery pack and charge it anywhere within 4-5 hours for a range of 100 Km. The company also offers riders the ‘Joy E-connect app’ that allows them to control the e-scooter via Bluetooth. Using remote applications, riders can track their e-scooter along with checking their battery status and use GPS-enabled features. Along with GPS sensing, real-time position, and geo-fencing, the e-scooter features anti-theft technology and regenerative braking.
