Jeep will launch 4 all-electric SUVs by 2025

Jeep, the global sports utility brand of the Stellantis N.V., today announced its plan for its next generation of fully electric 4xe vehicles. Jeep is not the only brand under the Stellantis Group to take a step towards an electrified future. Several other brands have also announced similar news about their future lineup. 

Carlos Tavares, CEO of Stellantis, said the news from Jeep is another example of how American brands are transforming to support its aggressive decarbonization goals. He also added that the 14 brands under Stellantis plan to offer exhilarating electrified products. 

Stellantis CEO also mentioned that it plans to launch additional 28 all-new electric products by 2024. Carlos Tavares is confident that Stellantis’ upcoming launches will thrill its customers and keep them loving the great American brands they have grown with.

Stellantis N.V.’s Dare Forward 2030

At the beginning of March 2022, Stellantis N.V. announced Dare Forward 2030. It is a bold strategic plan for the upcoming decade. With this, Stellandtis commits itself to becoming the industry champion in the fight against climate change. Stellantis N.V. aims to reach carbon net zero emissions by 2038.

According to Stellantis, it is setting the course for 100 per cent sales in Europe and 50 per cent of sales in the US to come from BEVs by the end of the decade. Furthermore, by the end of 2030, Stellantis plans to have 75 BEVs and reach annual BEV sales of 5 million vehicles.

Stellantis plans to invest more than EUR 30 billion between 2021 and 2025 in electrification and software development. This will also include equity investments made in joint ventures to fund its activities. 

Jeep’s Electrification Plans

Building upon the success of the Wrangler 4xe, which is the best-selling PHEV in the US, and the recently introduced Grand Cherokee 4xe, Jeep is developing a complete electrified product range. The brand will specifically develop this product range to enhance its legendary capability and expand its reach.

Jeep will introduce 4 all-electric SUVs in North America & Europe by the end of 2025. The American brand recently revealed the first images of 2 fully-electric SUVs. The first one is the all-new Jeep Recon. Meanwhile, the other one is the all-new Jeep Wagoneer, which the brand calls the Wagoneer S. Both will arrive in North America and other markets. Jeep also previewed the Jeep Avenger. This all-new, all-electric SUV will launch in Europe in early 2023. Before its launch, it will make its debut on 17th October 2022 at the Paris Motor Show.
