Jeep reveals Compass Night Eagle edition

American automotive manufacturer Jeep has announced the launch of the Compass Night Eagle Edition SUV for the Australian market. The Compass Night Eagle Edition is the new entry-level variant that replaces the Launch Edition that debuted as a mid-life update. Meanwhile, Jeep had previously introduced the Night Eagle Edition of the pre-facelift Compass in India before its end of production. The 2022 Compass Night Eagle Edition gets exclusive new exterior elements with a dark theme along with new standard features.

2022 Jeep Compass Night Eagle Edition: Design Details 

Based on the refreshed and updated 2022 Compass, the Night Eagle Edition gets black cosmetic enhancements on the exterior. Highlighting its dark theme are the gloss black grille, gloss black fog lamp surrounds, a black roof, and black C-pillars. Along with a unique ‘Night Eagle’ badge, the SUV’s front fascia features body-coloured panels, resembling the standard Compass’ mid-spec variants. Additionally, the 2022 Compass Night Eagle Edition gets 18-inch gloss black alloy wheels and 7 unique colour options. These include Polar White, Brilliant Black, Minimal Grey, Grey Magnesio, Colorado Red, Hunter Green, and Galaxy Blue.

2022 Jeep Compass Night Eagle Edition: Technical Specs & Features

Powering the Compass Night Eagle Edition is 2.4-litre, four-cylinder Tigershark petrol motor putting out 175 PS and 229 Nm. Jeep has paired this engine to a 6-speed automatic transmission without an All-Wheel Drive system, unlike its other variants. Meanwhile, the automaker has ensured to continue the dark theme on the interior of the SUV with exclusive details. These include the black headliner, a black dashboard with chrome highlights, piano black accents, and a black instrument cluster.

The interior also gets black seat upholstery on all seats with contrast stitching along with a plethora of new features. These include the updated 10.1-inch U-connect, touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and LED reflector headlamps. The Compass Night Eagle Edition also gets a 7-inch Driver Information Display, Wireless Charging, Forward Collision Warning, and Adaptive Cruise Control. Other features include Active Lane Management System, 6 airbags, Pedestrian Emergency Braking, Speed Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, and Drowsy Driver Detection.
