Jeep launches Compass & Meridian ‘Club Edition’ in India

Planning to get a Jeep soon? This new article might interest you. The Italian carmaker has added new Club Edition models of the Compass and Meridian SUVs in India. The Jeep Compass Club Edition will retail at INR 20.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the Meridian Club Edition will get a price tag of INR 27.75 lakh (ex-showroom). Jeep mentioned that both the Club Edition SUVs are available in limited numbers. This price is valid only till February 28, as mentioned by Jeep.

What Is The Club Edition?

The Compass and Meridian Club Edition models are essentially the base trims of both SUVs. This is Sport for the Compass and Limited for the Meridian. The updates on both SUVs are just the addition of an exclusive decal on the hood and a ‘Club Edition’ badge on the tailgate.

But what’s exciting about this edition is the price tag. The Compass Club Edition is cheaper by almost INR 1.08 lakh when compared to its base model. Meanwhile, the Meridian Club Edition has an even larger difference of INR 2.35 lakh when compared to its base model pricing. So, as you see it is the pricing which is the key highlight of this Club Edition model.

Jeep Compass, Meridian Club Edition Engine Options

The Compass and Meridian Club Edition is available in one powertrain each. The Compass uses the 163 HP, 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine matched to a 7-speed DCT gearbox. On the other hand, the Meridian is only available with the 170 HP, 2.0-litre diesel engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.

Jeep Compass, Meridian Club Edition Features On Offer

As for the features list, they are exactly the same as with the base model. The highlighting feature of Compass includes LED headlamps, 17-inch alloys, an 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, cruise control, dual airbags and ESC. Meridian gets some additional kit which includes, automatic LED projector headlamps, larger 18-inch wheels, wireless charger, 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, larger 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment, dual zone AC and six airbags.
