American automotive manufacturer Jeep has confirmed the launch of its Compass Trailhawk SUV for the Indian market in March 2022. This marks the return of the Compass Trailhawk SUV with all-new feature updates since its original production run from 2019-2021. Jeep India also unveiled a teaser of the SUV via its Twitter handle on February 21st with a #SuperiorByNature tagline. Enthusiasts in India also managed to get their hands on the spec-sheet of the Compass Trailhawk that lists major details.
2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk: Off-Roading Capability
Jeep has confirmed that the India-spec 2022 Compass Trailhawk will feature a 4×4 system with Selec-Terrain traction management systems. To enhance its legendary off-road credentials further, the SUV will feature a Jeep Active Drive Low 4×4 20:1 crawl ratio. Additionally, Jeep has retained the signature red rear tow hook on the upcoming Compass Trailhawk with a factory lift suspension.
Along with four metallic skid plates as standard, the SUV will showcase a 30-degree approach angle and a 24-degree break-over angle. Other highlights of the SUV include the 19-inch water wading capability, 1500 Kg of towing capacity, and a 34-degree departure angle. The leaked spec-sheet also suggests that the all-new Compass Trailhawk will feature All-Terrain Tyres and Dynamic Steering Torque (DST).
2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk: Leaked Specs & Details
Based on the recently leaked spec-sheet, the 2022 Compass Trailhawk will reportedly feature all-new exterior and interior details. However, Jeep India has confirmed that the SUV will feature the new 10.1-inch, Uconnect5, touchscreen infotainment system. Additionally, the automaker has also confirmed that the SUV will feature a 10.25-inch, digital driver’s display for convenience. Meanwhile, the Compass Trailhawk will reportedly feature the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, Multijet II turbo-diesel motor producing 170 PS and 350 Nm.
The upcoming SUV will also feature updates such as LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, and 17-inch heavy-duty alloy wheels. Along with reprofiled bumpers, the 2022 Compass Trailhawk will also showcase a powered tailgate, dual-tone roof, and a panoramic sunroof. To enhance safety, Jeep has reportedly equipped the SUV with 6 airbags, an Electronic Parking Brake, and Electronic Stability Control. Other expected features include 8-way powered front seats with ventilation, a 360-degree camera, automatic headlamps, voice commands, and TPMS.
