Jawa’s cruiser motorcycle continues road testing, launch next year

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Classic Legends is preparing itself to launch multiple motorcycles for the following year. Under the brand of Jawa, currently, there are a total of 3 motorcycles, namely, Jawa, 42 and Perak. And for the next year, two new motorcycles will hit the roads, of which one is a cruiser. This motorcycle has been spotted testing on Indian roads with camouflage on multiple occasions now. Recently also, spy shots of the motorcycle emerged on the internet that reveals the riding stance.

What Can We Expect From The Motorcycle?

This Jawa cruiser will most likely have all the basic elements of a cruiser motorcycle. This includes a round headlamp, circular rearview mirror, a wide saddle, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank and broad fenders. The use of small fly screens at the front and fork gaiters enhance the outlook of the motorcycle to a whole new level.

Typical to a cruiser motorcycle, this Jawa machine will also get a low-slung stance. This means the rider will sit low in a much-relaxed position, thus ensuring a comfortable ride. In the spy shots, we noticed that the motorcycle does not get a forward-set footpeg. And hence they are similar to the ones found in the current iteration of Jawa and 42.

Engine And Powertrain

As of now, we do not have any official spec sheet. But, chances are high that this cruiser motorcycle from Jawa will get the 334cc liquid-cooled engine. This is a single-cylinder DOHC engine that also powers the Jawa Perak. The performance figure of the engine in Perak stands at 30 BHP and 32.74 Nm.

The equipped gearbox is a 6-speed unit with a slipper and assist clutch. And hence we can expect a similar setup in the upcoming Jawa cruiser as well. As evident from the spy shots, the chassis gets the support of conventional telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking power comes from discs both at the front and rear, that get the aid of dual-channel ABS.
