Written by AnantaSaranNayak

Customers looking to buy Jawa motorcycles have some good news. Classic Legends have set up a target to have more than 500 outlets in the country over the next 12 months. Currently, the Jawa brand has a network of 175 dealerships spread across 150 cities, and this will eventually grow to 275 dealerships by August 2021.

The deliveries are currently impacted due to the 2nd wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. But, Classic Legends confirmed that as the situation gets normal, the delivery operations will resume. Classic Legends is reportedly working to revive BSA, the British motorcycle brand which they acquired in 2016, by introducing electric powertrain options. The UK government has already awarded GBP 6.5 million as a low carbon automotive initiative to the brand.

Jawa 42 launched at INR 1.84 lakh

At the start of the year, Jawa had launched the new Forty-Two motorcycle in its 2.1 avatar. This retro-classic looking motorcycle now comes with an added ‘Classic Sports’ touch and new equipment such as three new paint shades, an enhanced engine and more. Jawa Forty-Two uses a 293cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, DOHC engine producing 27 PS of power and 27 Nm of torque. The new grey classic sports strips that run across the motorcycle’s length give it a more appealing outlook. Customers will also have a host of optional accessories to choose from.

Jawa Might Soon Come Up With A New Scrambler Motorcycle

Recently, a test mule of a scrambler motorcycle resurfaced on the internet. From its looks, the chances are high that Jawa is testing the bike to launch in the Indian market. There are rumours that Classic Legends might revive the Yezdi brand in India. The most highlighting aspect of the test mule included a round headlight; twin gas-charged spring assisted hydraulic shocks on the rear, long-travel front suspension and more. This new motorcycle will take on the likes of Honda CB 350RS and the upcoming new Royal Enfield Hunter 350.
