Jawa Perak bobber price breaches INR 2 lakh mark

Classic Legends has updated the price list on the entire portfolio of Jawa motorcycles in India. This list also includes the Jawa Perak, a bobber with custom styling right from the factory.

Jawa Perak – Price Hike

Compared to the previous price tag of INR 1.97 lakh ex-showroom, the Perak now costs INR 2.06 lakh making it dearer by INR 8,700 on the ex-showroom price. This is the first time the Jawa motorcycle range has breached the INR 2 lakh rupee mark.

Jawa Classic, Jawa Forty-Two and Jawa 42 – Price Hike

Other Jawa motorcycles have also become dearer by ~INR 1,200 to ~INR 7,000 on the ex-showroom price. This includes the Jawa Classic, Jawa Forty-Two (Spoke Rim version) and Jawa 42 (Alloy Wheel version). The Jawa Classic, Jawa Forty-Two get a price hike of INR 1,200, taking the ex-showroom price to INR 1.77 lakh ex-showroom and INR 1.64 lakh ex-showroom, respectively. The Jawa 42 (Alloy Wheel version) is now available only in the dual-channel ABS version with a new price tag of INR 1.91 lakh ex-showroom.

Jawa Perak – Engine Specifications

Powering the Perak a BS6 compliant liquid-cooled, 334cc single-cylinder engine with electronic fuel injection. The DOHC engine comes with cross port technology producing 31.06 PS of power and 32.74 Nm of torque. During the nationwide COVID-19 lockdown, Jawa managed to retune the engine bumping up the torque by 2 Nm in the process. 

Jawa Classic & Jawa Forty Two – Updates

The Jawa Classic and Jawa Forty Two have also been updated in the engine department, the chassis and the suspension. The Jawa Classic and Forty Two come with a slightly powerful motor which now develops 27.33 PS of power, but the torque has gone down 0.03 Nm. The brand also boasts that changes have been made to the chassis and suspension for better performance. But the wheel and tyre size remains the same.
