Jaguar reveals XE SV Project 8

British brand Jaguar’s Special Vehicle Operation unit has developed the world’s fastest production sedan car – Jaguar XE SV Project 8. The road touring specific model of the XE SV project 8 will be a hand built with the production limited to only 15 units worldwide which will make it an exclusive collectors car.

The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 is powered by a 5.0-litre, supercharged, 8-cylinder engine, in a ‘V’ configuration. The engine delivers 600 PS of power and 700 Nm of torque which can propel the car to an electronically limited top speed of 300 kmph. The car can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 3.7 seconds.

The interiors of the road touring XE SV Project 8 gets leather seating, an infotainment display,  steering wheel controls, paddle shifters, automatic climate control air-conditioning and more.

The road-oriented XE SV Project 8 features a fixed spoiler wing on the rear and a fixed front splitter. The fixed touring spoiler replaces the Project 8’s carbon fibre adjustable aerodynamic wing. The XE SV Project 8 will be made in a 4 seat configuration and will come in four paint finishes – Valencia Orange, Velocity Blue, Corris Grey Satin and British Racing Green.

The Jaguar XE SV Project 8 can lap the Nürburgring Nordschleife in a record time of 7:21:23.

The road touring variant is available beside the 320 kmph Project 8 which holds lap records on three continents – at Nürburgring Nordschleife, Dubai Autodrome and Laguna Seca.
