Isuzu Motors India Private Ltd which is a subsidiary of Isuzu Motors Ltd, Japan announces the price hike of its commercial pick-up range D-Max Regular Cab and D-Max S-Cab. Post 1st April 2021, both the models will cost INR 1,00,000 extra from the current ex-showroom price which starts from INR 8,72,402 for D-MAX Regular Cab and INR 10,70,293 for the D-Max S-Cab. The Japanese company mentioned the increasing cost of production, transportation, and logistics as the main reason for the price hike.
Isuzu D-Max Regular Cab
Currently, Isuzu is only offering commercial vehicles for sale in India, as the other two products namely, V-Cross and MU-X are not yet ready for the BS-6 emission norms though reports suggest that the MU-X will come sometime this year. Powering the D-Max is a 2.5 litre 4-cylinder common rail VGT diesel motor that cranks out 78 HP of power and 176 Nm of torque. The gearbox unit is a 5-speed manual. The suspension setup comprises of double-wishbone with coil spring in the front and semi-elliptic leaf spring at the back makes this the perfect choice for carrying high weighing loads. The overall dimension of D-Max stands at 5375 mm in length, 1860 mm in width, and 1800 mm in height for the regular D-Max meanwhile the D-Max Super Strong trim has a height of 1830 mm. The ground clearance of 220 mm is adequate given the terrain and road surfaces most of the D-Max customers drive on. In terms of features, Isuzu is providing all the necessary equipment like driver seat and seat-belt height adjuster, rear parking assist system, brake override system, twin 12v mobile charging point, gear shift indicator, and a fabric seat cover with mounted roof lining to name a few. Isuzu D-Max S-Cab
The S-Cab has a lot of similarities with the Regular D-Max model but in terms of the dimension, S-Cab is 5,190mm in length, 1,775 mm in width, and 1,780 mm in height. In terms of features, the additional kit includes a rear air duct on the floor console, all power windows with auto-down for the driver, a flexible rear seat with a foldable with a 60:40 ratio, a 4-speaker setup with pre-wiring, dual-position tailgate with centre-left type handle and more.
