Indian working on a new cruiser motorcycle – Raptor

Founded in 1901, America’s first motorcycle company, Indian is now getting ready to introduce and new cruiser from its stable. A large cruiser bike was recently spotted testing and could a new 2020 model from Indian. The upcoming cruiser may be called ‘Raptor’.

According to a leaked brochure news was confirmed that am all-new cruiser is set to launch in 2020. And according to the brochure, it will be powered by a 1,770cc engine which will be a liquid-cooled v-twin block that will produce 120 BHP of power. The Raptor is designed in a bagger like fashion with low slung exhausts, a large Batwing style fairing and windscreen and extended saddle bags.

The Indian Chieftain Dark Horse is a quite popular model in the bagger / cruiser segment, which is close to the spied motorcycle, and it is powered an 1,811cc Thunder Stroke 111 engine which produces a peak torque of 161.6 Nm @ 3000 RPM and has a 54mm closed loop fuel delivery system via electronic fuel-injection. The Chieftain Dark Horse measures at 2506mm in length, 1000mm in width and 1385mm in overall height. It has a 1668mm wheelbase and has a 650mm seat height. The fuel tank capacity on the Chieftain Dark Horse is 20-litres.

In 2020 after its launch it is expected to compete with the likes of Harley Davidson Road Glide Special.
