Indian Motorcycles has launched the 2023 Sport Chief for the international markets. While it is based on the regular Chief, the American bike maker has given the motorcycle some updates to make it more sportier. The Indian motorcycles are pretty good option for those considering a unique bike which would stand out from the crowd.
What’s new in the 2023 Indian Sport Chief?
For starters, the 2023 Indian Sport Chief gets a quarter fairing. This gives the bike a more aggressive stance. The motorcycle also gets uptight handlebars which come with risers of 6 inches.
Apart from these changes, Indian Motorcycles has also given the Sport Chief a narrower trail and a sharper rake with 43mm front forks. These forks have been sourced from KYB. At the rear the Sport Chief gets dual shocks from Fox. These have 4 inches of travel.
The bike also gets upgraded Brembo brakes and Pirelli Night Dragon tyres. Coming to features the motorcycle gets Ride Command and a Touchscreen infotainment system with multi-function display and turn-by-turn navigation support.
Powertrain of the 2023 Indian Sport Chief
The 2023 Indian Sport Chief comes with a larger motor as compared to other Indian Chief range. The Thunderstroke 116 engine is now blacked out and makes 153 Nm of peak torque.
Launch of the 2023 Indian Sport Chief
While Indian Motorcycles will make available the 2023 Sport Chief in the international markets soon, there is no word yet if it would be launched in India. If launched here, the bike would head against the likes of the Harley-Davidson Sportser S.

Indian Motorcycles is an American bike maker. The company first made bikes from 1091 to 1953 under the Hendee Manufacturing Company in Springfield, Massachusetts. However the name was changed to the Indian Motorcycle Company in 1923. In 1911, the bike maker took the top 3 spots at the Isle of Man tourist Trophy.
