The 2015 Honda CR-V facelift which is coming to India in early-2015 has been revealed in Thailand recently. The ASEAN version is similar to the American facelift model and gets quite a few cosmetic as well as mechanical changes compared to the current model we have on sale.

Changes on the facelift include:

  • Redesigned headlamps
  • LED DRLs inside the fog lamps
  • New front grille
  • Redesigned front and rear bumpers
  • New fog lamps
  • Larger chrome garnish on the tailgate
  • New alloy wheel design
  • 3-angle reverse parking camera
  • 7″ touchscreen infotainment with HDMI and lane watch system

The CR-V will continue to be sold in two petrol engine options –  a 2.0L and a 2.4L motor. The 2.4L engine however is now paired to a new CVT gearbox unlike the previous 5-speed automatic transmission.

Honda will still continue to keep the CR-V as the only SUV powered by a petrol engine in the segment. There is no news about the CR-V getting a diesel heart anytime soon.

Expected pricing is ~Rs. 25 lakh (ex-showroom)
