Hyundai has teased the new Inster, a small electric SUV in the international market. The brand has announced that the latest addition to Hyundai’s electric family will make its debut this June at the Busan International Mobility Show. The entry level small SUV from Hyundai is likely to have a wheelbase longer than the Hyundai Casper and come with a range of over 315 km on a single charge. However, the brand has not yet announced the technical specifications of the vehicle.
Hyundai Inster Teaser
According to the teaser, the Hyundai Inster appears more or less the size of the Casper. However, the wheelbase is likely to be longer than the Casper which is likely to accommodate a larger battery pack. Design-wise, the Inster is also similar to the Casper, but there are plenty of model specific changes to differentiate between the two.
For example, the teaser reveals rounded LED headlamps with peripheral rounded LED daytime running lights in addition to the Pixel graphic turn indicators that will be available near the EVs bonnet shutline. The Inster will also come with Parametric Pixels, a design element shared with other Hyundai EVs. The tail lamps of the car will also come with a Pixel graphic design which could be similar to the IONIQ 5. On the inside, the Inster is likely to come with a dual screen setup for the driver and passenger as well as a comprehensive safety suite which may include ADAS.
Will Inster Come To India?
Hyundai will be launching the Inster EV in the Korean and European market in the initial stages. However, plans to introduce the electric car to India is not yet known. However, the brand is planning to produce the Hyundai Creta EV in India which is likely to make its debut by the end of 2024 or in January 2025. The Creta EV which is likely to be based on the ICE Creta facelift which launched in the recent past.
