Hyundai Verna, Exter facelift details
Recently, the upcoming Verna facelift test car was spotted in the mountains, indicating that the new model launch is around the corner. Meanwhile, Hyundai’s micro-SUV and Tata Punch rival Exter is also likely to get a facelift for next year.
Both cars are going to feature mild cosmetic upgrades and subtle changes on the inside. However, the engine options for both cars will remain unchanged.
Speaking of the changes, the Verna test car, which was recently spotted, had complete camouflage, but it indicated changes on the front fascia. Launched back in 2023, Verna has been a polarising sedan in terms of design, due to its radical front and rear shape.
Meanwhile, on the inside, we can expect a new connected screen panel to be offered, which can be identical to the one on the current Kia Syros. Powering the Verna facelift will be the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine options.
Speaking of the Exter, it is the second car in Hyundai’s fleet that has a very polarising design, especially from the rear. The Exter facelift will likely iron this out and make it more like a proper SUV with a proportionate design.
Hyundai offers a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.2-litre CNG engine option on the Exter. It is available with manual as well as automatic transmission options.

Hyundai’s strategy for the Indian market is fully loaded with new products and lifecycle updates for the current lineup. Hyundai has announced to introduce 26 new cars in India by 2030. It will also bring its flagship SUV, Palisade, in 2028.
