Hyundai is all set to reveal the all-new Aura compact-sedan to the world later this week. Ahead of the debut for the sub-4 metre Aura, Hyundai has revealed design sketches for this compact-sedan which is based on the Grand i10 Nios. The brand calls this new design language as ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ and this car will co-exist with the Xcent, where the latter will be sold to fleet operators / taxi market and the Aura will be positioned for passenger car buyers. The Hyundai Aura will rival the likes of Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze, Tata Tigor, Volkswagen Ameo and Ford Aspire.

From the spyshots, one can notice the design cues which include a large front grille with honeycomb mesh design, b0omerang shaped LED DRLs, possibly smoked headlamp and tail lamp, sharkfin antenna, blacked out B & C pillar, applique on the C pillar, bold crease lines, multi-spoke diamond cut alloy wheels, sculpted bonnet, etc.

The interior design sketch should be revealed in a day or two building up some hype before the global debut. The Hyundai Aura could be positioned between INR 6.5 – 9.5 lakh ex-showroom and will slot below the Verna sedan. The Hyundai Aura is expected to come with the same petrol and diesel engines as in the Grand i10 Nios, and both petrol and diesel engines could come with an automatic gearbox option.

Hyundai currently boasts of 502 dealers with more than 1324 service touch points in India which helps build faith in the brand.
