Hyundai has introduced a new variant in the Grand i10 NIOS line-up. The new variant is dubbed as the Sportz Executive and is priced between INR 7,16,400 to INR 7,70,200.

What’s new in the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS Sportz Executive?

Hyundai has introduced this new variant between the popular Magna and Sportz trims. This will allow the Korean carmaker to offer the Grand i10 to a wider audience and budget range. This new Sportz Executive variant is available in both manual and AMT options.

Coming to the features, this variant loses out on some of the Sportz trim features like the automatic climate control. However, this has been replaced by the manual AC controls like in the Magna variant. All the other features are the same as that of the Sportz trim.

Infact, compared to the Sportz variant, this new Sportz Executive is cheaper by INR 3,500. It is also possible that due to supply chain issues, Hyundai could have launched this variant to satisfy the customer needs as a stop-gap arrangement.

Hyundai has continued to offer the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine as before. This unit develops 82 BHP and 114 Nm of peak torque. It will be offered with a choice of 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.

That said, Hyundai has refrained from offering a CNG option on this variant.

In other news, Hyundai has announced the pricing for the Alcazar SUV with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. The Hyundai Alcazar 1.5 turbo petrol retails with a price tag of INR 16.74 lakh for the entry-level 7-seater Prestige manual variant. The prices go all the way upto INR 20.25 lakh for the top-spec Alcazar Signature (O) six-seat automatic. This new engine could also make its way to the new upcoming Hyundai Verna.
