Test mules of the upcoming compact SUV from Hyundai, the ix25 have already been spotted in India. The production spec version of the ix25 was revealed at the Chengdu Motor Show last week and now, images revealing the entire car have been released on the internet.
Exterior styling takes design cues from the larger Santa Fe SUV and has a chunky front grille in chrome. At the front, you have projector headlamps with LED DRLs and the fog lamp placement is vertical. Side profile carries a couple of crease lines and blackened B-pillar. Door handles are wrapped in chrome and it also gets dual tone alloy wheels. At the back, you have wrap around tail lamps, a rear spoiler, roof mounted shark-fin antenna, reflectors on either side of the bumper and the number plate mounted at the bottom of the tail gate.
On the inside, the international variant had an all-black colour scheme. Expect the popular beige interiors to make it to the Indian version. Steering wheel looks identical to the sub-10 lakh rupee Hyundai cars currently sold in India and has the usual steering mounted controls. A big touchscreen headunit with colour display above the automatic climate control. AC vents are vertically placed and the dashboard top is rather flat. Available cabin space looks to be sufficient to seat 5 with ease.
We will have to wait for a couple of months for the technical specifications on the Indian variant, the engines it would use and the exact dimensions as well. As per the images, the car seems to be ready to set segment benchmarks, as has been the case with the recent Hyundai offerings in India.
