What is INSTEROID?

The name INSTEROID combines “INSTER” and “STEROID,” reflecting the car’s muscular and youthful character. Built on the INSTER platform, the INSTEROID takes the compact electric vehicle to the next level with dramatic design upgrades and enhanced performance.

The teaser images reveal a striking exterior that looks like it’s straight out of a digital racetrack. The INSTEROID features a massive WRC-style double-decker rear wing, flared bumpers, and wide-arch bodywork. The car rides on 21-inch wheels with aero covers, adding to its aggressive stance. Signature Pixel LED lights and a prominent rear diffuser further enhance its futuristic appeal.

Inside, the INSTEROID is stripped down for a racing-inspired experience. The interior includes a roll cage and minimalist controls, with playful details like unique instrument clusters and buttons. Hyundai describes the car as a “glitch” in the automotive world, seamlessly merging video game visuals with real-world performance.

While technical specifications are yet to be revealed, the INSTEROID is expected to showcase Hyundai’s innovative vision for electric mobility. The concept car aims to deepen the emotional connection between drivers and their vehicles, offering a fun and engaging driving experience.
