Creta Electric SUV: What to Expect
The Creta Electric is based on Hyundai’s global Pixel design language, featuring a unique front grille with pixelated graphics and integrated charging port, along with connected LED tail lamps for a futuristic look. The SUV will be available in four variants: Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence, with two battery options – 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh.
The 42 kWh battery offers a driving range of up to 390 km on a single charge, while the 51.4 kWh battery extends the range to 473 km. The Creta Electric supports both DC fast charging, which can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in just 58 minutes, and an 11kW home charger that can fully charge the vehicle in approximately four hours.
Interior
Inside, the Creta EV will boast a dual-screen setup with a 10.25-inch infotainment display and a digital instrument cluster. It also features Hyundai’s i-Pedal technology for single-pedal driving, a 360-degree camera, blindspot monitoring, and a panoramic sunroof. The interior design includes a new steering wheel inspired by Hyundai’s global Ioniq lineup and a V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) socket.
Hyundai aims to cater to the growing demand for electric vehicles in India with the launch of the Creta Electric. The company plans to build an EV ecosystem in India, with 600 fast public charging stations by 2032 and access to over 10,000 EV charging points through its myHyundai app.
The Creta Electric is expected to be priced in the range of INR 20 to 25 lakh making it an attractive option for buyers looking to switch to electric mobility. It will compete with the Mahindra BE 6, MG ZS EV, and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki e Vitara.
