Hyundai Creta has a waiting period of around 8 months

Written by Akhil Dalvi

For the upcoming festive season, customers will have to endure an eight-month waiting period for the Hyundai Creta. An email conversation between a Hyundai dealership and a customer revealed an increase in the waiting period by 5-6 months. The revised 8-month waiting period is applied explicitly to the top-spec Creta SX (O) Diesel AT variant.

Supply chain issues caused by the ongoing global chip shortage are the primary reason for the increased waiting period. Despite the shortage of semiconductors, the Hyundai Creta remains one of the country’s most sold cars. According to Hyundai, the SX and S(O) trims of the Creta are among the highest-selling variants. The diesel-powered variants of the Creta constitute over 60% of total sales for the Korean automaker in India.
