If you are thinking about mid-size SUVs, the first thing that comes to your mind will surely be the Hyundai Creta. The Hyundai Creta has the right dimensions which feel like a proper SUV, but it is a very driveable machine even in urban commutes and intercity travels. Its light steering and peppy engines make it a favourite among people who want a SUV in an urban environment.
Hyundai India has now announced a new model, Hyundai Creta EX which is one above the base model Creta E+. The new Creta EX has been priced at INR 10.84 lakh ex-showroom, Mumbai for the 1.6-litre petrol manual and INR 10.99 lakh ex-showroom, Mumbai for the 1.4-litre manual transmission diesel variant.
The base Creta E+ variant comes with a power steering, power windows and steel rims. Compared to that, the Creta EX 1.6-litre petrol comes with all of the above plus daytime running lights, fog lamps, reverse camera, a rear seat armrest with cup holder and adjustable rear headrests. The Creta EX 1.4-litre diesel has a 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, steering wheel mounted controls, UBS charging slots and a 12v power outlet in addition to the equipment from the Creta E+.
Hyundai has discontinued the Creta S 1.6-litre diesel automatic, so the only automatic diesel variant available is the top spec SX.
Hyundai will soon launch the new Venue, which is a Sub-4 metre SUV and will rival the likes of Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Tata Nexon.
