Hyundai has sold over 5,00,000 Creta SUVs in India

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced the brand’s most-appreciated SUV the Hyundai Creta has crossed the 500,000 milestones of domestic sales since its launch in 2015 setting a new benchmark in the SUV segment. The brand has also announced that the all-new second-generation Hyundai Creta has garnered more than 65,000 bookings since its launch in March 2020, despite the COVID-19 crisis. 

The South Korean manufacturer in the July 2020 sales performance report also reported the sales of 11.549 units of the all-new Creta, leading the SUV segment and retaining the top spot as the best selling SUV for three consecutive months (May, June and July). The Hyundai Creta is also among the brand’s top 4 super performer SUVs. 

The all-new Hyundai Creta has contributed strongly in the UV segment along with Venue, Tucson and Kona Electric registering the sale of 34,212 units for the period of April to July 2020. The brand has also revealed that 60% sales of the all-new Hyundai Creta account for the BS6 Diesel model indicating demand towards Hyundai’s refined Diesel technology. Additionally, the Made In India, all-new Hyundai Creta is exported in 88 countries around the globe. 

The second-generation Hyundai Creta is available with three powertrain options – 1.5 MPi naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 115 PS of power and 144 Nm of torque matched to a 6-speed manual or an IVT (CVT) gearbox, 1.5 U2 turbocharged CRDi diesel engine that produces 115 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter type gearbox and a 1.4 Kappa Turbo GDi Petrol engine that produces 140 PS of power and 242 Nm of torque coupled to a 7-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Automatic Transmission). Select models also come with 3 Drive modes – Eco, Comfort, Sport and Traction Control Modes (Snow, Sand, Mud) that optimise the driving comfort across different terrains.

The new Hyundai Creta also comes with 14 variant options spread across 5 trim levels – [E, EX, S, SX, SX(O)] starting at the price of INR 9.99 lakh ex-showroom.
