Hyundai Aura compact-sedan bookings open for INR 10,000

Hyundai has announced today that bookings are now open for the Aura compact-sedan. The Hyundai Aura is a sub-4 metre product based on the Grand i10 Nios. The Xcent which is an old workhorse will now switch to fleet buyers completely while the Hyundai Aura will be available exclusive for passenger car segment. The booking amount for the Hyundai Aura has been set at INR 10,000 and it will rival the likes of Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze, Ford Aspire, Tata Tigor and Volkswagen Ameo.

The Hyundai Aura will come with 3 BS6 compliant engines out of which 2 would be petrol and 1 diesel. The most exciting variant would be the one which will be powered by the new 1.0L, turbocharged petrol engine producing 100 PS of power. Apart from this, there would be an 83 PS, 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol and a 75 PS, 1.2L turbo diesel as well. Hyundai will offer 5-speed manual and AMT options on the Aura compact sedan except for the turbo-petrol which will only get a 5-speed manual transmission.

The Hyundai Aura will measure 3995mm in length, 1680mm in width, 1520mm in height, 2450mm in wheelbase, 1050mm in front legroom, 885mm in rear legroom and a total of 402L boot space.

Interiors of the Hyundai Aura are yet to be revealed, but we know that it would be a similar story like the Grand i10 Nios. However, Hyundai has confirmed features which includes wireless charging, driver rear view monitor which is a reverse camera display on the infotainment screen while driving forward, Eco coating for AC, emergency stop signal, air curtains on the body, leather wrapped gear knob, 5.3″ digital speedometer with MID, 8″ touchscreen infotainment, Arkamys sound system, projector fog lamps, etc.
