Hyundai adds Limousine variant for the Staria MPV

The most significant update to the new variant is the extended roof on the exterior front. According to Hyundai, the new variant will also be the most spacious in the lineup. The extended roof frees up an additional 8-inches of headroom inside the cabin.

The added space also lets the manufacturer install a massive 25-inch screen. In addition to the screen, the MPV is also available with USB and HDMI connections, HD digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB), and smartphone mirroring. HD digital multimedia broadcasting enables broadcasting TV signals and high-definition radio to mobile phones.

In addition to this, the Lounge Limousine variant gets the ‘Starry Sky Lighting’ as standard equipment. The Staria Lounge Limousine also comes with an air purifier. To ensure a quieter cabin, the model also gets additional noise-insulation material all around the car.

The new variant is available in seven and nine-seat configurations. Both the seat configurations get a movable centre console with a built-in table. The console also has USB Type-C ports to charge smartphones.

To distinguish itself from other variants, it also gets two-tone alloy wheels. The Staria Lounge Limousine comes in two colour choices – Creamy White and Black Pearl. The interiors for both colours come in a grey finish.

Hyundai Staria Lounge Limousine – Powertrain

The Staria MPV comes with three engine options – petrol, diesel and LPG. The Smartstream petrol engine is the most powerful option. The engine is a 3.5-litre V6 which produces 268 HP and 331 Nm of torque. The diesel is a 2.2-litre four-cylinder engine which produces 175 HP and 431 Nm of torque. The LPG model uses a similar engine to the petrol model. The engine in the LPG is a 3.5-litre V6 producing 237 HP and 310 Nm of maximum torque.

The diesel is the only engine option available with a 6-speed manual gearbox. All the other engines use an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
