DSK has put the Hyosung brand on a back foot for the moment and will focus on launching the Benelli range of motorcycles in the month of December ’14.

The Hyosung GD250N and the RT250D which were supposed to go on sale this year have now been pushed forward to 2015 to accommodate the Italian Benelli brand in the market.

Powering the GD250N motorcycle was a 249cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected motor which was good for producing 27.6 BHP of power @ 9,500 RPM and 2.4 kgm of torque @ 7,000 RPM. Engine was mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike weighed 155 kg and was built on a trellis frame and alloy swingarm.

The RT125D is powered by a 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled petrol engine producing 13.5 PS of power and is an adventure touring motorcycle. Targeting the niche off-road motorcycle enthusiasts, the bike featured knobby tyres, an engine sump guard, long seats and a relatively higher seating position thanks to the larger front fork travel.

A clearer picture about the Hyosung range of motorcycles will be available only after DSK gets done with the official launch of Benelli motorcycles in India.
