HOP OXO receives more than 5,000 bookings before launch

Written by AnantaSaranNayak

HOP Electric Mobility has received an overwhelming response for its flagship high-speed electric bike, HOP OXO. The launch date for this motorcycle, as confirmed by HOP Electric Mobility, is set for August this year. The booking window opened briefly for HOP Electric Mobility’s dealer partners to pre-order the first production batch. To everyone’s surprise, 5000 units have already been pre-booked even before the commercial launch. For now, the company has now closed the booking window.

HOP OXO – A Brief Overview

As a part of this #OXOSNEAKPEEK program, HOP OXO has received tremendous response and feedback. The company had anticipated a positive response. But the figure of 5000 bookings from its dealer partners even before the commercial launch indeed came as a surprise. Thus, the company had to put the next booking window for dealer partners on hold as retail bookings will open soon. HOP is now gearing up its supply chain and production facilities to accelerate the deliveries.

With the given pace, HOP expects to sell more than 50,000 electric two-wheelers over the next 12 months. Noteworthy to mention the premier automotive R&D organisation, ARAI, affiliated with the Ministry of Heavy Industries, certified HOP OXO after conducting all possible tests. This also included testing for AIS 156 for batteries. The ARAI Certification is a testimony of HOP Electric Mobility’s reliability, performance, quality and safety.

HOP’s Plans For The Future

HOP confirmed that it had completed 1,00,000 km of road testing across 14 Indian states. This electric motorcycle gets all the India-centric features and design, thus perfectly matching the Indian road conditions. Customers can also leverage FAME II subsidies with HOP OXO. The company is currently giving test rides of HOP OXO at several of its dealership touchpoints in India. HOP already has 140 dealerships across the country, and during the last six months, it has inaugurated over 60 new dealerships in India.
