Honda’s 300cc adventure bike coming to India soon

Written by Kanad Kalasur

According to a media report, Honda is looking at launching a new 300cc adventure motorbike in India. This bike is likely to be based on the Japanese bikemaker’s CB300F street fighter. In terms of naming, Honda is likely to call the bike as the CB300X.

What can we expect in the new Honda 300cc Adv?

An adventure bike is usually one that comes with bigger wheels, a higher ground clearance, and a longer-travel suspension. Hence we hopefully expect Honda to add the same as a minimum over the CB300F.

That said, back in 2022, Honda launched the CB200X Adv bike. This was based on the Honda Hornet 2.0. But instead of making it a proper adventure bike, Honda just gave it new bodywork. They missed out on larger wheels and long travel suspension to name a few.

Hence, it is not confirmed if Honda would do the same to the 300cc based adventure.

Powertrain of the Honda 300cc Adv

We know that the CB300F comes with a 293cc air/oil-cooled, single cylinder engine. This motor is good for 24.47 PS and 25.6 Nm of peak torque. Hence we can expect Honda to offer the same engine with the Adventure bike as well.

Pricing of the Honda 300cc Adv

The Adv bike is expected to be priced at a premium compared to the naked bike it is based on. Hence we can definitely say that the new Adv bike could retail above INR 2.26 lakh, as that is the price at which the Honda CB300F is on sale.

Coming to the competition, the Honda 300cc Adv will head against the likes of the Suzuki V-Strom SX and the KTM 390 Adventure.
