Honda sport bikes and racing – What’s happening?

Fully prepared for the final round of Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship 2021 and IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup 2021. Honda Racing India riders arrived at the Madras Motor Race Track in Chennai. The three members of the IDEMITSU Honda SK69 Racing team in the PS165cc class of the national championship are 3 riders Rajiv Sethu, Senthil Kumar and Mathana Kumar. A total of 21 riders from different parts of the country fought for the crucial championship points in the IDEMITSU Honda Talent Cup NSF250R and CBR150R. Alongside this was the first time Honda Hornet 2.0 One Make. The race saw the participation of 15 experienced riders.

Detailed Analysis

IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup – CBR150R

For the last qualifying race for this race, a total of 12 younger riders fought against each other. The fastest lap timing of 2:08.265 was put on by championship leader Prakash Kamat from Chennai. And hence we will start the first position in the final race, followed by Patna’s Vivek Gaurav. Third on the grid was Chennai boy Theopaul Leander who recorded the lap time of 2:09.128.

IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup – NSF250R

A total of 9 riders competed for the final round of IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup NSF250R season 2021. In the practice, Sarthak Chavan from Pune topped the chart with the best lap of 1:52.378. Just 0.076 seconds off, second on the list was Kavin Quintal from Chennai. Sarthak Chavan and Mohsin P stand at second and third place respectively in the championship so far. And with a total of 172 points so far, Kavin Quintal is currently the championship leader.

IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup – Honda Hornet 2.0 One Make Race

Happening for the first time, the starting three positions were occupied by the Chennai trio. This consists of Kevin Kannan, G Balaji and Shankar Guru starting the race from the front row. Kevin Kannan put on the best timing of 2:11.712. The second and third on the list was, G Balaji and Shankar Guru, respectively.

MRF MMSC FMSCI Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship Pro-Stock

Before the final round of the Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship Pro-Stock 165cc class, the IDEMITSU Honda SK69 Racing team had a total of 189 points. Post evening qualifier, Rajiv Sethu started the race from fifth place for the penultimate race of the season. Meanwhile, the duo of S Mathana Kumar and Senthil Kumar secured ninth and tenth place on the grid.
