Honda sold 4,62,523 two-wheelers in August 2022

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has announced its sales numbers for the month of August 2022. The company’s total dispatches stood at 462,523 units in August ’22. This includes 423,216 domestic sales as well as 39,307 exports. The figure for August 2021 stood at 431,594 units, which included 401,480 as domestic sales and 30,114 exports as exports. Thus HMSI reported year-over-year growth of 7 per cent. Honda mentioned that the market performance is now gaining steady momentum against the previous month as well as on a year-on-year basis. The festive season has just begun. Thus, the sales will grow even further. With Honda’s exciting range of products across verticals, the company is confident that more customers will join in, lured by the attractive finance schemes available.

Key Highlights of August 2022

HMSI added 4 new products across both BigWing & Red Wing categories. This includes the all-new powerful & sporty CB300F along with the new Activa Premium edition, Dio Sports and also the Shine Celebration Edition.

Honda also expanded its BigWing dealership network with the inauguration of its two new Honda BigWing outlets. These have come up in Mira Bhayandar (Maharashtra) and Azamgarh (Uttar Pradesh). HMSI proved its dedication towards road safety awareness yet again. The company organised awareness camps in Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh), Ajmer (Rajasthan), Siliguri (West Bengal), Bhawanipatna (Odisha) and Chandigarh.

Honda also celebrated the 3rd anniversary of its Safety Driving Education Centre located in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Honda Racing India’s Rajiv Sethu recorded the best finish by an Indian rider in the AP250 class of the Asia Road Racing Championship. He finished the ARRC in the 5th spot in Round 3. On the domestic front, Honda SK69 Racing team’s Rajiv Sethu claimed 1st place in the PS165cc category of round 3 of the 2022 Indian National Racing Championship. Honda Racing Corporation also announced that MotoGP World Champion Joan Mir will race for Honda Racing for the 2023 season alongside Marc Marquez.
