Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has released its monthly sales report. The company posted a total sales of 296,363 units for January 2023. This figure includes 278,143 domestic sales and 18,220 exports for the month.
Key Highlights Of HMSI In January 2023
Honda launched the 2023 Activa for the Indian market. With this, the two-wheeler maker created a new history in the Indian two-wheeler industry. This is because Honda launched the Activa 2023 with the Honda Smart Key, which is a first time in India.
In addition to this, Honda is aggressively widening its Premium Motorcycle Business Network. In an attempt to strengthen its premium business network across the country. HMSI and its Honda BigWing outlets in Noida (Uttar Pradesh), Anna Nagar (Tamil Nadu) and Kolkata (West Bengal) for this month.
Road Safety has been a top priority for HMSI. January 2023 marked 7th anniversary of its Traffic Training Park in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Via this, Honda educated more than 2.6 lakhs citizens in 7 years. The company also conducted awareness camps in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh and Bassi, Rajasthan.
In terms of CSR goals, HMSI conducted an industrial visit for young students at its Global Resource Factory in Manesar, Haryana. Under this, HMSI organised presentations and practical guided tours of the company’s manufacturing facility. The students also got the chance to engage with HMSI’s experts in the areas of Health, Road Safety & Motorsports. On the other hand, the Honda India Foundation which is the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) wing of all Honda group companies in India, donated 30 water tankers to benefit 30 villages of Uklana, Haryana.
In the Motorsports segment, Monster Energy Honda Team rider Pablo Quintanilla clinched the 4th position in the Dakar Rally 2023. Two other Honda riders Adrien van Beveren and José Ignacio Cornejo too put on a great show. They grabbed the 5th and 8th position to finish in the top 10 for the Honda Team.
