Honda reveals Rebel 250 cruiser, we hope it comes to India

Honda has introduced the new Rebel 250 cruiser in the Japanese market. The new Honda Rebel 250 is the smallest cruiser in the Rebel portfolio which includes the Rebel 500 and the Rebel 1100. The quarter-litre motorcycle comes with a price tag starting at JPY 599,500 MSRP, roughly translating to INR 3.95 lakh in India. In the Japanese market, the brand retails the Rebel 250 in two variants – Rebel 250 and Rebel 250 S. For 2022, the brand has also added a new Pearl Spencer Blue colour to the Rebel 250. 

Honda Rebel 250 Cruiser – Design & Features 

The Honda Rebel 250 Cruiser comes with an American cruiser styling featuring a relaxed riding posture. The bike comes with a rounded headlamp and a teardrop fuel tank. The motorcycle also features an exposed perimeter chassis and split seats. The bike comes with a chopped front fender along with a sizeable rear fender and triangular side panels. The Honda Rebel 250 comes with telescopic front suspension with rubber boots, and higher-spec variants also come with a headlamp shroud. Honda offers quad projector headlamps, rounded indicators and LED taillamp. The S version also gets diamond-stitched seats for the rider. 

Honda Rebel 250 Cruiser – Technical Specifications

Powering the Honda Rebel 250 is a 250cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled 4-valve DOHC engine. The quarter-litre engine produces 26 PS of power and 22 Nm of torque. The motor comes with electronic fuel injection and a full transistor battery ignition system. The motorcycle comes with a telescopic front suspension and twin coil hydraulic shock absorbers on the rear. Honda offers the motorcycle with disc brakes on the front and rear for excellent stopping power. The bike rides on 16-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels shod with chunky 130/90 front and 150/80 rear tyres. 

Honda Rebel 250 in India

While the brand has not yet made any official announcement, it plans to introduce the cruiser motorcycle in the Indian market. Honda could launch a localised Rebel 250 to compete in the modern classic and cruiser segments. But instead of the 250, Honda may introduce a 300cc version of the Rebel in the Indian market to make the competition more relative.
