Honda reveals Activa 5G at Auto Expo 2018

At the ongoing Indian Auto Expo 2018, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. have unveiled the 2018 Activa 5G scooter. The Activa has been leading the sales charts in the two-wheeler industry for years now, and with added features, Honda is set to define new benchmarks with the Activa 5G.

5G stands for 5th generation. Although the scooter is not all new, it comes with plenty of new features. The scooter is expected to be launched soon, and expect a marginal increase in pricing thanks to the new features.

The 2018 Honda Activa 5G scooter comes with LED pilot lamp, LED headlamp, digital + analogue speedometer console, chrome garnish on the front apron, mild differences to the crease lines, unique lift-up mechanism, new front hook, Eco indicator, service due reminder, new metal muffler protector and two new body colours – Dazzle Yellow Metallic & Pearl Spartan Red.

Honda mentions that this is the Activa 5G Deluxe variant on display. You will obviously get features such as HET, Combi-Brake, etc.

Powering the Activa 5G will be the same 109cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled petrol motor producing 8 HP of power @ 7500 RPM and 9 Nm of torque @ 5500 RPM matched to a CVT automatic gearbox. This engine is BSIV compliant.
