Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the new OBD2 compliant Activa 125.
What’s new in the 2023 Activa 125?
Working to meet the upcoming emission norms in the country, Honda has updated the Activa 125. The scooter now comes with OBD2 compliance along with the tried and tested 125cc PGM-FI engine. It now comes with Enhanced Smart Power, or eSP in short. eSP is nothing but technology that uses the alternator to start the scooter when stopped by the stop-go system. This will reduce the need of a traditional starter motor and there will be less NVH as well.
The Idling stop system of the scooter will turn off the scooter’s engine at a signal when stopped and restart it by just a simple twist of the throttle.
The 2023 Activa 125 also comes with new fuel efficient tyres that are said to offer a new tyre compound technology that will improve the fuel economy of the scooter. The scooter also comes with a side stand sensor that will prevent the engine from starting when the side stand is deployed.
Other features of the 2023 Honda Activa 125 include a semi-digital instrument cluster that include trip meter, clock, Eco indicator, service due light and other fuel related information.
Honda is offering the new Activa 125 in five colour options – Pearl Night Start Black, Heavy Gray Metallic, Rebel Red Metallic, Pearl Precious White and Mid Night Blue Metallic. The scooter comes in 4 variants – Smart, Disc, Drum Alloy and Drum.
