Honda has just launched the 2nd generation Amaze compact sedan in India at a very competitive price tag. With an all-new design, the new Amaze has been priced at INR 5.60 lakh onwards and is available in petrol and diesel engine variants with manual or automatic gearbox options.

Powering the Honda Amaze is a 1.2L, 4-cylinder petrol engine which produces 89 BHP of power and 110 Nm of torque matched to a 5-speed manual gearbox if a CVT automatic gearbox. The manual diesel variants get a 1.5L motor producing 99 BHP of power and 200 Nm of torque. The diesel + CVT combination, which is an industry first, gets the 1.5L motor detuned to deliver 79 BHP of power and 160 Nm of torque. The CVT gearbox for the petrol get paddle shifts, but the diesel variant misses out on this.
The new Amaze measures 3995mm in length, 1695mm in width, 1498 – 1501mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2470mm with 420L of boot space and 35L of fuel tank. The new Amaze will be available in red, white, grey, silver & golden brown. The Amaze is betting big on safety and comes with ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, ISOFIX as standard.
In terms of features, the new Amaze gets LED DRLs, cruise control, touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, parking sensors, rear view camera, 15″ / 14″ alloy wheels, keyless entry, engine start / stop button, and more.
